The Origin of the HeroBear
Hero Industries started by simply doing a favor for a friend at the Los Angeles Police Department, Lt. Andrea Grossman. She was looking for a unique way to raise funds and further the Department’s community policing initiatives. We created a plush teddy bear wearing an exact replica of the LAPD uniform in miniature—a simple idea, then called HeroBears, that quickly led to other branded items for the first responder community and corporations large and small.
