Bucyrus Police Department’s K-9’s
They’re cute. They’re fuzzy. They wear a uniform. And now, residents can take them home for a snuggle.
On Wednesday, the Bucyrus Police Department introduced plush toy versions of its two police dogs — Harvey, a German shepherd, and Ellie, a bloodhound.
Each K-9 wears a vest with the Bucyrus Police Department patch on the back, a black “Police” collar and a special dog tag. Ellie’s vest is available in black or pink, while Harvey wears black or blue.
The police department is selling the toys for $20 each to raise money for its K-9 program, said Lt. Tom Walker, the department’s public information officer.
