Braintree Police Department creates stuffed animals in honor of fallen K-9 Kitt
The Braintree Police Department continues to honor the legacy of a K-9 that was killed in action this year.
The department had stuffed animals made in the likeness of fallen Braintree police K-9 Kitt. The Belgian malinois was shot multiple times by a suspect on June 4 and died of his injuries. He served the Braintree Police Department for over a decade.
All proceeds from the sale of each Kitt stuffed animal, which are $20 each, will go toward the Braintree Police Working Dog Foundation. The funds will specifically be used to finance a K-9 memorial at the Braintree Police Department.
The K-9 Kitt Memorial Fund will have the stuffed animals for sale at upcoming events, but they are currently being sold at American Reflective with a very limited supply. American Reflective is located at 224 Commercial St., and those interested in buying a stuffed animal should visit Danielle between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The stuffed animals were made by Hero Industries, a company that designs and manufactures uniquely-branded products for first responders, government agencies and corporations.
