Challenge Coins:

How much does shipping cost for custom coins?

Shipping is free on all orders of 500 coins or more. For smaller orders, shipping costs are clearly outlined on our pricing sheet, which we can send to you upon request.

How fast can I get my order?

Typically, production takes about 5 weeks from the time your artwork is approved. If you are on a tight deadline, rush orders may be available—don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for details.

What is the price of custom challenge coins?

Our pricing is fully transparent. We take pride in our premium quality; over 90% of our coins are made from solid brass, providing extra weight and allowing for detailed die-struck engraving. You can call or email us for a complete pricing sheet.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Technically, there is no minimum order. However, since we do not charge any mold or die fees, you will receive the best price breaks when ordering 100 coins or more.

Are there hidden fees for art, dies, or setup?

No. Hero Industries eliminates the extra costs commonly found in the industry:

  • Die Fees: We do not charge for die fees and guarantee our dies for life. This also means faster production times on reorders.
  • Die Insurance: We do not charge for die insurance.
  • Setup Fees: We don’t charge setup fees—ever.
  • Art Fees: We do not charge art fees, and you own the artwork once the order is finished.
  • Color Fees: We offer unlimited colors at no additional cost.

How much does it cost to reorder challenge coins?

When reordering, your cost is the initial price you originally paid. The minimum for a reorder is 25 coins plus shipping. Because we guarantee our dies for life, you never pay a die or mold fee on a reorder.

What is the most common size for a coin?

While 1.75” was previously the most common, the 2” coin is quickly becoming the most popular choice. It offers more space for intricate detailing and is being adopted by more federal agencies.

What is the difference between 3D, UV Print, and Laser Engraving?

  • 3D: Adds depth and rounded details for a sculpted, lifelike look—perfect for faces or animals.
  • UV Print: A full-color digital print cured with UV light, ideal for gradients and logos that traditional enamel cannot capture. We can also produce UV3D coins in certain cases.
  • Laser Engraving: Uses a precise laser to etch text, serial numbers, or personalized messages into the metal. It is also used to add hidden phrases or symbols to the edge of the coin.

Custom K9 Plush & Mascots:

How long is the turnaround time for custom plushies?

Turnaround times range from 1 to 8 weeks. This varies based on whether you choose a stock item, a semi-custom design, or a fully customized breed or mascot.

Can I order multiple dog breeds in one order?

Yes! You can mix and match breeds within the same order. We currently offer nearly 30 different breeds, all of which were designed in-house.

How big are the K9 Heroes plush dogs?

Our plushies average between 8 to 8.5 inches tall, though this can vary slightly depending on the specific breed.

What is the difference between a Hanging Badge and a Hang Tag?

  • Hanging Badge: A high-quality metal piece that hangs from the dog’s collar, similar to a real K9 officer.
  • Hang Tag: A cardboard piece attached to the ear, which is the perfect spot for your mission statement, a website link, or a QR code.

Should I choose Heat Transfer or a Woven Patch for the vest?

  • Woven Patch: This is the most realistic option, using threads to create textured artwork identical to the patches worn by agencies worldwide.
  • Heat Transfer: This uses heat and pressure to apply a smooth, vibrant, full-color graphic directly to the fabric.

Can I make a custom plush that looks exactly like my own dog?

Absolutely. We can create a custom plush of your specific dog. Contact us directly to discuss the details of your project.
